FlexoMatrix© device

The FlexoMatrix© technology platform offers a unique, controlled assembly process for optimum plate positioning on the print roller, based on the registration settings around the cylinder circumference. This means that unparalleled pre-setting can be achieved for the print shop’s recurring shortest jobs.

Significantly reduced set-up time

The system enables automatic identification of the photopolymer plate being assembled with simultaneous data linking to the existing job management system. As a result, the progress of job preparation is transparent, job changes in the print shop become more efficient and the security of producing the correct product is significantly increased. The danger of mixing up printing forms is now a thing of the past, and process transparency meets the requirements for an industrial production standard.

Different types of cylinders

The FlexoMatrix© can be adapted to different types of printing cylinders or sleeves using adapters. This means that with just one FlexoMatrix© system, the plates can be applied to the printing cylinders or sleeves of all printing machines in a print shop in a register-optimised manner. Another advantage: in addition to the high level of precision, the high degree of automation allows the machine to quickly and reproducibly mount printing plates in around 60 seconds (depending on the format).

LAVA® plate processor

LAVA® is a family of high-quality thermal processors. The devices are available for all photopolymer plate formats, i.e. for both narrow-, medium- and wide-web printing plates. The thermal process with LAVA® devices allows plates to be ready for printing in approximately 1 hour, significantly improving productivity and workflow.

A non-woven fabric is used to remove unfixed polymer during the photopolymer plate preparation process, the size of which is adapted to the size of the machine.
